Douglas Adams once wrote:
1) everything that’s already in the world when you’re born is just normal;
2) anything that gets invented between then and before you turn thirty is incredibly exciting and creative and with any luck you can make a career out of it;
3) anything that gets invented after you’re thirty is against the natural order of things and the beginning of the end of civilisation as we know it until it’s been around for about ten years when it gradually turns out to be alright really.

The highest technique is to have no technique. My technique is a result of your technique; my movement is a result of your movement. A good JKD man does not oppose force or give way completely. He is pliable as a spring; he is the complement and not the opposition to his opponent’s strength. He has no technique; he makes his opponent’s technique his technique. He has no design; he makes opportunity his design.

The moral? Be a good listener and an ever better responder…

Take time today to look at yourself in the mirror and remember the things about you that make you great. Don’t look at what others are doing or judge yourself by their accomplishments it will only distract you from the real things that you, and only you, can make happen for yourself. Don’t look to others to hand you a perfect life on a plate.

Take pride in yourself and hold your head up high because you, my friend, are a beautiful and unique snowflake and don’t let the envious or the haters tell you any differently. You will push through and you will make it happen if you clear your head, breath and focus on what is possible. You can and you will do it.
