		<description>Yeah, I&#039;m digging the idea of apprenticeship in the industry.  But I&#039;ve already rambled on a bit about that in various comments at ALA.  I&#039;m still waiting for either the web design community or the higher education industry to pick up the ball on that front. </description>

		<description>I see where you are coming from Derek. I think no matter what the method is it must include mentorship to manage the possibility of information overload. Hopefully the community that can grow around this will support that. </description>

		<description>I&#039;m starting to have mixed feelings about all this.  On one level, it&#039;s great.  My hippy leaning, community driven, creative commons/open source supporting side is ecstatic.  For one thing, poorly performing &quot;official&quot; degree programs have little excuse to remain poorly performing with the community doing so much of the leg work.  Surely you can pick and choose the strongest elements from all these community driven curricula and manage to both stay current and meet accreditation requirements. 
 
But the flip side to that is at what point do these programs become yet another way to present self motivated learners to get to information overload? </description>
